About

Dr. Sadaf Asim is a Pediatrician/ Pediatric Nephrologist practicing at Tabba Kidney Institute, Karachi. She did her FCPS Pediatrics from the National institute of child health (NICH) Karachi. Her keen interest in the field of Pediatric Nephrology led her to pursue her 2nd fellowship. She received extensive training in Pediatric Renal Replacement Therapy and Transplantation from the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation and completed her FCPS in Pediatric Nephrology. With an experience of ten years in the field of Pediatric Nephrology, she is currently working as a consultant Pediatric Nephrologist at NICH and Tabba kidney institute. She has been involved in Renal Genetics research projects carried out at Boston children hospital and Asian Renal Gene projects at National University Hospital Singapore.
She is an active member of the International Pediatric Nephrology Association, European and Asian societies of Pediatric Nephrology. Her special interest is in Nephropathology and atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome which are major domains of her research.
She has an exquisite clinical experience in dealing with young children of End-stage Renal Disease with Acute and Chronic peritoneal dialysis.
